About the book

Huberta has a stuffed dog named Hundsi. They live in the house of Huberta’s aunt Helga and seem to have moved in only recently. Hundsi was a gift from Huberta’s grandmother, so the cuddly toy reminds Huberta of all the experiences they shared. Hundsi does everything Grandma used to do and is at the centre of Huberta’s life. Most of all, they love baking cakes together using Grandma’s recipe book. They smell wonderful! Aunt Helga owns a stuffed-toy factory where thousands of identical Hundsis are made. One day, Helga takes her niece on a tour of the “Hundsi factory”. At the sight of all the Hundsis, Huberta drops her own Hundsi, who disappears among the crowd of cuddly toys. After a long search, Huberta notices a familiar scent: Grandma’s cakes. The wonderful aroma leads her back to Hundsi.
