About the book

Every night, when it gets dark, a little boy looks up at the stars. One day, he wants to travel there. He is certain that all sorts of wonderful creatures are waiting up above to play with him. His parents do not quite share his imagination. But his grandfather says that he has already been up there with Grandma – and Grandma is sure that her grandson can make it there too.

“Dort oben bei den Sternen” (“Up Beyond the Stars”) is Clemens Birsak’s third picture book and a celebration of a childhood filled with imagination.
